During
the February 18 ACCC business meeting the ACCC membership
in attendance elected to have the corvette raffle.
The
club
is still
waiting
for
it's
501c3
Non-Profit status. The raffle committee is going ahead
with obtaining a license from Virginia Gaming Commission
to have the raffle. The ACCC raffle committee is projecting
to kickoff the raffle April 1.
The
January 29 raffle meeting had a nice turn out of ACCC
officers and members. A major announcement was made that
Lindsay Chevrolet will sponsor Aquia Creek Corvette Club
for the next year. Garland Huskey from Lindsay Chevrolet
was in attendance for the announcement. The relationship
will benefit both Lindsay Chevrolet and the
ACCC. ACCC members
will receive
money
saving benefits from Lindsay Chevrolet from the purchase
of corvettes, other vehicles, parts and labor.
It
was also decided that ACCC would move forward to becoming
a 501c3
Non-Profit and Ronnie Cooper, CPA will handle the task
for the club. This process will take six to eight weeks.
Once
ACCC has been established as a non-profit the club will
move forward with the VA Gaming Commission and the corvette
raffle. Continuing with the corvette raffle will should
be put to a vote at the February 18, 2008 business meeting. |
