Corvettes for Vet's
The raffle for the
2009 corvette was held and the winner was Al Maynard. Al was
truly excited, and damn funny! A neat guy and a Corvette for a Vet was given
away. Al's bride didn't want a convertible. So Lindsey Chevrolet let Al pick
the corvette of his dreams. Aquia Creek Corvette Club wants to give a big thanks
to Lindsey Cherolet for their sponorship of this wonderful
event.

You Sgt. David Emery!!
The
deserving recipient of funds provided by the Corvette for
Vet's raffle from Aquia Creek Corvette
Club is Marine Sgt. David Emery. Sgt. Emery was manning a
checkpoint outside Haditha, Iraq in early 2007 when he was
seriously injured in an attack by a suicide bomber. Sgt.
Emery lost both his legs and his left arm was mutilated beyond
repair from the blast. With assists from the Marine Corps,
friends, community, and Aquia Creek Corvette Club providing
assistance so Sqt. Emery can provide for his family. |
